FRAXEL / Fractional Resurfacing
What is the Fraxel laser?
Fraxel is a type of Fractional laser treatment. A fractional laser utilizes a fraction of a laser bean to remove a portion of skin and stimulate collagen rejuvenation. It is used to treat fine lines, sun damage and to improve the tone and texture of the skin. Because Fraxel leaves portions of the skin intact there is minimal downtime. Most Fraxel treatments are planned as a series with each treatment spaced about a month a part.
What types of conditions can be treated with Fraxel?
Fractional resurfacing is helpful in treating wrinkles of the face. Other areas treated with this device include the neck, chest and hands. Fraxel is also helpful for the treatment of age spots in these areas and for the treatment of Melasma.
